Political commentary

President Obama, having inherited a tanking economy, has taken steps to revive the economy, primarily through spending measures. He has tried to pump money into the economy to "kickstart" the spending again. Now with the Republicans in control of the House of Rep. and their being concerned with putting the brakes on spending, what lies ahead?

Is there any chance of a depression in our future? We will have to wait and see.

I would like to know what you think. Leave a comment below.

If it continues to be an "us versus them" debate (Democrat versus Republican), there will be nothing but economic trouble. The walls of division and party loyalty must come down. This may not be able to happen due to distinct differences and polarizing priorities of each "side." If "principle" matters, then principles make for ruin. If "principle" is sacred by both sides, nobody wins. If "principle" can be seen as the guiding lights of two different trains going the same direction, then joint efforts can be realized. There must be a time that each "side" is not seen as the enemy any more.

I really hope the Democrats and Republicans surprise us and work together.

However, conservative talk radio and Fox dictate what the Republicans are to do.

Online news sources I read inform that Republicans are already discussing who will run for President in 2012.

I fear that the conservative priorities are not where they should be.
