Recent events

I did not think many people would be at the humanist meeting on Saturday, but I was pleasantly surprized when eleven people showed up. We saw three people we had not seen in several months. We had a good meeting.

Yesterday I played piano for Edna, who was in Atlanta for some kind of reunion. The program was on Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement. Following the service, we talked about chapter 14 of Howard Zinn's book A People's History of the United States.

In a couple of weeks I will once again be the speaker at Restoration. My talk will be on Charles Darwin, whose 205th birthday is February 9. I think we will celebrate with a birthday cake at the next HAT meeting.
