This photo was taken in the front yard of the duplex we lived in during our second stay in Nettleton, Mississippi. Here I can be seen in a striped shirt. My mother in the woman with the dark hair to the right. Just above my mother's head can be seen the back side of the house of the Edwards, known as Daddy Ed and Momma Ed to me. They had several daughters who would baby sit with me. Nettleton is about 15 miles from Amory. Go on up the highway another 15 miles and you come to Tupelo.
As the road rises in the distance it comes to a crossing with the Frisco Railroad. This is the main line between Memphis and Birmingham. It runs in front of the Edwards' home.
