The film for this shot was processed in April 1959, but the picture could have been taken earlier, perhaps in March. Judging from the cannon in the right side of the picture, I would say this picture was taken at a civil war battle ground, perhaps Shiloh. I know we visited Shiloh a couple times while we lived in Mississippi. Shilod is just 50 miles to the north of Tupelo. The age of each of us is recorded on the back of the photo: Paula, 9; Danny, 11; Jean, 37. Jean is my mother.
